In homage to our namesake, ‘Bardos’ is a collection representing intermediary states and the journey through them. This series of art ended up describing the process of learning to create artwork in a digital environment, while it was initially made to test where the boundaries of art, music and storytelling begin to blend into one another. Self-titled as a digital marker for the beginning of Bardos’ career as an artist.

Physical works in drawing and painting plug into digital editing, animation and effects. Photography combines with 3d environments which melt into 2d images through motion, generating entirely new visuals in the process. ‘Registry Editor’ or ‘RegEdit’, is a silent collection of artwork experimenting with taking single frames from developed animations and using them as the base layers for large scale, high resolution works of still digital art. I combined 3d Fractals with photography, 3d modeling and a Wacom tablet. Undeniably, the animations and image counterparts have a symbiotic effect to them. ‘RegEdit’ represents times in my life where I’m forced to drastically and intentionally change the environment around me.
Each of these NFTs comes with a physical, special edition print of the artwork for the first owner (‘RegEdit’ prints in the store). The animation’s print will be the corresponding still image, unless a still from the animation itself is wanted instead. Purchase one of these NFTs from us to unlock a code, then send us a message with your code and mailing address to receive the special edition print, free of charge.

All of these pieces are unplanned. They began as math equations in a 3d fractal rendering program, exported as animation.
10 animations were made and from each of those 10 animations, 10 large format pieces of artwork formed from using the still images as crafting materials. Combined with photography and editing, we arrive at the 20, paired animations and images of the ‘RegEdit’ collection. 3 images were then created by applying this technique to past animations, creating integrated pairings with other aspects of BTW.

If you’ve looked around BTW.com or have seen our artwork, you’ll notice we love colors!
In some sort of basic attempt to start a foundation of different, yet unknown color combinations, we decided to utilize one image as a base to experiment. We figured if it’s all about color, it’d best be displayed so the focus is on the color/light variations and not be distracted with texture. After much tweaking, we transmuted these color variants, ensuring every one is technically unique, with many combinations of which we personally had never seen before.
The final NFT of our ‘Bardos’ collection is all 250 of these NFTs lined up one frame at a time, running at 50 frames per second, making the 5 second animated NFT ‘Rapid Subliminal DNA Trigger’. This was an experiment in subliminally implanting color combinations into the subconscious which works surprisingly well to affect a person’s personal color palette just by watching a few loops.
This collection is on the Polygon MATIC network, which means it can be bought/sold for either ETH or MATIC. We decided to make ‘Palette Catalyst’ available for MATIC on Rarible and ETH on OpenSea, depending on what one might prefer.

One nicely textured Photo of arranged, painted jewelry boxes, run through photo editing software to create as many different color combinations as possible. Using hue, brightness, vibrance, tints, shadings, light editing, and endless blending modes interplayed on one another, we crafted this collection to inspire other artist’s palettes as well as build blocks to pull color combinations directly from the images using software.

Intentionally a compliment to ‘Palette Catalyst’, ‘Texture Catalyst’ is an experiment in the other most basic aspect of visual artwork separate from color, that being texture. We crafted 100 different scalable textures, to use as pre-made references for future works, as well as inspiration for creating texture in our own work through various mediums.
Every NFT from this collection comes with permanent downloadable content attached to it’s blockchain ID. Owning one of these NFTs enables whoever the current owner is to receive a Creative Commons licensed version of the original file to use as they wish. Any other save (copy/pasting from the browser) will have Copyright attribution.

Each NFT in ‘Texture Catalyst’ is a scalable vector graphic, or a digital image that scales up and down without losing it’s quality. This collection features samples of textures that can be patched over to images, animation or any type of fashion and design. Different scales/sizes of the same SVG will produce different texture combinations, allowing for one NFT to have a multitude of separate patterns hidden within the smaller image.

Your classic, “traditional”, NFT collection. The 3d environment Unreal Engine was used for setting a cinematic stage for us to arrange layers that could be pulled out, edited and effected into abstraction or varying details, textures and patterns. These scenes generally exist as levels in Unreal Engine, we have plans to begin tests of porting these into VR and video game environments as playable levels.

Each of these NFTs (or physical products) has a unique hex number attached to them, stored in a private database, given based upon the order in which they’re purchased. Prints + merch at this point forward will have a physical QR code on it that’ll eventually link to not only it’s own website page, it’ll also be used to redeem a token. “Barcodes” will eventually be used to mint and activate separate digital tokens that have game mechanisms built into them, the code will only be redeemable by the current holder of the token or by physical QR code. Until the full release, any code will simply redirect to the LeveL page.
